Myth: UPTU is the easiest university.
Truth: Ask any UPTU student and he will tell you how difficult it is to pass all the subjects in UPTU. The reason behind it is the weird checking system and delay in results. In UPTU, date-sheet is released just a day before the exams and it gets changed during the exam. You attempt the paper for 100 marks and you will get 30 while someone attempted for 30 marks and he will get 50. The secret behind the checking is still hidden in the core of Himalayas.
Myth: UPTU Students never gets a good job.
Truth: If that was the case, why would so many students get enrolled in the university each year. We agree that placement level is not that good as compared to other universities but still students from UPTU has got job. A student from Galgotia was selected in NASA and a student from the same college got a package of 55 lakhs from ESPN. Recently, 5 students from NIET got foreign placement from Sahara with a salary of over 10 lakh a year. Just because you didn’t got a good job doesn’t mean university is not doing it efforts.
Myth: UPTU is very old university.
Truth: There is a very common myth that UPTU is way too old but the reality is that it is just 15 years old. You see, it’s still in its teenage.
Myth: There are no good colleges in UPTU and no facilities are provided by any college.
Truth: AKG, HBIT, KIET, Galgotia, IET, G.L Bajaj, NIET and the list is long when it comes to good colleges of UPTU. Although the number is fairly small compared to the total number of colleges. But, still students are trying their best to get into these colleges. Talking about facilities, you will find library in each and every college. The standard of labs are little down but you can’t expect that good from a state university.
Myth: There are no fests in UPTU and no glamour.
Truth: Really? Yo Yo Honey Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Mika Singh, Neha Dhupia, Vishal Dadlani and so many other celebs has been a part of fests of colleges of UPTU. Fests like G-Quasar, Udbhav, The Tamasha are well known for their glamour and the amount of excitement they offer.
